Train to Montreal

Back in October I took a trip to Montreal for an art show. I have travelled on the GO train but never on Via Rail. So, I decided to stay planted on the ground and soak in the view of Ontario from the south side of the train. There was only a brief section that was worth the trip which was of our beautiful Lake Ontario. The sun was out and it was just perfect so I snapped a few iPhone ...

I love it when the birds stay still just long enough for the shutter to open and close!

The Sink

During one of my photography classes at Pikto, this was a shot of a well used sink by artists. It’s actually a High Dynamic Range image consisting of merging 3 images together all taken on a tripod at 3 different exposure settings.

Using a flash would have washed out the subtle details of the paint, dirt and grit which gives this image it’s character.
